Event Format

Newton 24 & 8 Hours of Triathlon are continuous loop short course road triathlons with a 0.24 mile swim, 11.2 mile bike and 2.6 mile run. Athlete’s compete to cover the most number of laps in 8 hours or 24 hours in the swim - bike - run or bike - run format. The winning relay team/solo in each category is the one that covers the greatest number of legs/laps in the allotted time, and if there are relay teams/solos completing the same number of laps, then the fastest team/solo on their final lap is the winner. Awards, Prizes and Give Aways

Awards for top three finishers in each category, medals for all finishers, tech running top, trasition towel and tech hat all entrants.

Packet Pick-up

Packet pick-up will be at Race HQ on Friday, September 24^th between 3:30pm and 6:30pm, at the Race Site between 6:30am and 8:00am. Swimmers will be body marked at the timing RV between 6:30am and 7:45am on Saturday. You can download a Map of Cherry Creek State Park, and Directions form Crestwood Suites to Cherry Creek State Park (3.97 miles, 7 minutes.)

USAT Membership

You must bring a valid USA Triathlon card and show it at packet pick-up, or buy a one day license ($10) at registration or packet pick-up. Visit USA Triathlon to get your annual membership or to purchase a one day permit.

Mandatory Pre-Race Meeting

Everyone must attend the pre-race meeting at starting at 8:00am in the Start Area at the Cherry Creek State Park, Smoky Hill on Saturday, September 25th. We will discuss important safety information at the meeting and field questions regarding the race course and rules.
